This Alcohol Free Gin and Tonic is crisp and delicious, and perfect for those looking to cut alcohol from their diet.
Thanks to the alcohol-free movement, we have so many amazing zero proof spirits to work with now. And I have found two that work great in this mocktail gin and tonic recipe.
Alcohol Free Gin and Tonic
When working on this recipe (my favorite cocktail mind you) I tried it with several zero proof gins. And I am torn, I love two of them. So I will give you the option. Try the Monday “Gin” (see below) for a traditional gin flavor, or the Pentire Adridf (also below) for a similar but new flavor that is out of this world.
As with all of the zero-proof spirits, the websites note that these spirits should not be given to minors. However they are safe for pregnant and nursing moms. I assume they don’t want kids developing a taste for gin at a young age, or they have to put this disclaimer on all spirits. But I wanted to note it here for you just incase your curious about sharing with the kiddos.
Garnishes for Non-Alcoholic Gin and Tonics
Making a gin a tonic is no longer a simple cocktail, you can jazz it up many different ways! I recommend a G&T Bar, fill it with your favorite alcohol-free gin, real gin and regular and low calorie tonic. Then add 5-10 garnishes and let your guests make their own.
Or just keep it quiet and try a different garnish each night on your own.
- Lime wedge or wheel
- Grapefruit wedge
- Lemon wedge or wheel
- Orange peel or ring
- Blood orange ring
- Rosemary sprig
- Thyme sprig
- Mint sprig
- Cucumber ring or ribbon
- Sliced ginger
- Mashed berries or even make the G&T poured over sorbet!
