Low Calorie Gin and Tonic Recipe

To make this cocktail low calorie, I swapped out traditional tonic water for light or low calorie tonic water. Now I am not a fan of “diet” tonic as it is filled with fake sugars that can cause weight gain and basically take out the benefit of using the zero calorie option.

But thanks to the clean eating movement, we now have a few options of zero calorie all-natural tonic water. I have supplied you with my favorite below. I can find it in both glass bottles, and mini cans at the local grocery store.

Low Calorie Gin and Tonic Garnishes

There are so many garnishes for gin and tonic cocktails! The traditional garnish is a lime wedge or wheel, but all of these yummy garnishes are low to zero calories.

  • Lime wedge or wheel
  • Lemon wedge
  • Grapefruit wedge
  • Orange peel or ring
  • Blood orange ring
  • Rosemary sprig
  • Thyme sprig
  • Mint sprig
  • Cucumber ring or ribbon
  • Sliced ginger
